Real Enough

each night
I wait
for the train to come through
before I go to sleep

or else I’ll wake
feeling afraid
like the time I lost you

and I
could be
somewhere else
lord knows any place else
but I feel
like this is real
enough

when it comes
its loud
and it shakes the ground
and it haunts for 10 more miles

but then I can close my eyes
and lay down and smile

and I
could be
somewhere else
lord knows any place else
but I feel
like this is real
enough

real enough
