Writing or finding love poems for a guy can be tricky sometimes, because many times guys are not always really emotional and you don’t want to risk being too overly emotional or mushy, but you still want to show how much you care and love him. I do not know how to make the words rhyme right

and I’m sure there are a million rules of poetry I may be breaking
But, I don’t care, and

so bad it should be crumpled up and never read
because that’s what love is about. You know? It’s okay to
write a crappy poem and share it with somebody you
love because when they love you and you love them

that everything is okay
better than okay
it’s freaking awesome.

And so, despite my horrible poetry writing skills
I have decided
I would write this poem
just especially for you
to tell you
that I love you
and I’m glad
that I can share
even my worst talents
with you and they will still
make you smile.

Mud Bath

You tell me
you want to do
something dirty
something naughty
something crazy

so we go outside
and jump in muddy puddles.

You Need a Bar of Soap

In science class
we had to dissect worms
and it was really gross
the only way
i could get over it
was to think to myself
about you

away the ketchup

As you can see from these examples, there’s nothing too complicated about simply writing a few phrases that come to mind. You don’t have to rhyme (though you certainly can) and you don’t have to make it overly mushy. Sometimes just relating to something that your boyfriend likes can help you find the perfect inspiration for your love poems for boyfriends.
